Assuming the responsibility and accountability of specific assigned clinic/ area using collaborative approach with other team member to ensure that our patients are receiving the expected care/ service. OPD Nurse acts as liaison facilitating collaboration between physician, patients, family and interdisciplinary team member/ other department staff.
Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or equivalent
3 years General Nursing Diploma
Experience
Preferably with some experience in hospital
Clinical Expertise:
Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, patient care techniques, and medical terminology.
Proficiency in administering medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring patient responses, and adjusting care plans accordingly.
Skilled in performing nursing procedures such as injections, IV administration, wound care, and catheterization.
Ability to recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions, such as sudden deterioration, and take appropriate actions in emergencies.
Patient Care:
Strong ability to provide compassionate, empathetic care to patients, including assisting with daily activities, emotional support, and addressing their physical comfort.
Ability to educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-care instructions.
Skilled in creating individualized care plans, tailored to each patient's needs, based on clinical assessments.
Critical Thinking and Decision-Making:
Strong problem-solving skills to make informed decisions in fast-paced environments, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
Ability to assess patient needs, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate interventions or escalate issues when necessary.
