The Manufacturing Quality Technician (QT) is responsible for incoming parts/materials verification and timely product inspection and/or testing. The QT works closely with the Operations Sourcing Quality and Engineering teams to ensure that Products are delivered with the highest possible level of quality. The QT is an active participant in the operations of the companys QA department a great communicator and a forwardthinking strategist.
Key Characteristics:
Have strong comprehension of Engineering drawings; electrical diagrams control loop diagrams mechanical layout diagrams and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Ability to innovate and assist in improving product quality and internal processes.
Strong Team collaborator yet easily works independently
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect and Test Electrical mechanical pneumatic aspects of assembled/manufactured Water Treatment Products and Equipment
Implement testing policies procedures and standards across products.
Collaborate with a variety of internal and external users to acquire and exchange information on QA issues processes and best practices.
Assess risks early in the production pipeline and deliver recommendations for issue resolution and risk mitigation.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
Familiar with wiring schematics and able to diagnose electrical panel issues
Familiar with piping arrangements and able to diagnose mechanical assembly issues.
Excellent English Communication Skills both Verbal and Written
Qualifications :
Required:
College Diploma in Mechanical Chemical or Electrical Technology or equivalent
Proficiency with Google Sheets Docs Slides and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated experience with a Production Line control (QC role).
Preferred (if applicable):
CQT considered an asset
Experience with water treatment technologies and equipment.
Experience with Continuous Improvement tools such as: Root Cause Analysis tools Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Familiarity and experience with ISO 9001 standards and industry standards such as CSA UL IEC etc.
Familiarity with Cloud based applications.
Experience using SAP or other ERP systems
Compensation: $55000$60000
Additional Information :
This role is based in the Guelph Veolia plant in Ontario Canada. The role requires onsite presence 8 hours a day 5 days a week. Only those applicants that are located within a reasonable commuting distance from this plant will be considered for this role. In some instances local travel may be required.
