Job Description

Position Purpose:
Technicians I and II are responsible for performing various general labor activities that include the operation of large machinery that provide assistance to the jobsite.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates a vehicle or other special equipment such as forklift backhoe amphibious vehicle or vactor as part of the general labor duties.
- Performs maintenance on the property and in field as required via the use of a maintenance request for or verbal request.
- Keeps a log of all maintenance acuities date of work completed and as much detail as possible as to what work was performed.
- Make scheduled inspections of the grounds.
- Performs lawn and gardening maintenance and repair.
- Performs various tasks (i.e. shoveling transfers manhole covers handle eqt.) to assist Crew Leader.
- Assist with identifying safety improvements related to the facilities equipment or procedures.
- Understands and adheres to all company health and safety procedures as they relate to essential job functions.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Performs regular checks of equipment conditions noting deficiencies and following maintenance procedures. Notifies supervisor of needed maintenance.
- Communicate effectively via written and oral methods with coworkers supervisor managers and others when necessary.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read technical material blueprints (understands symbols).
- Knowledge of codes safety devices and procedures.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- Must have valid Mississippi drivers license (CDL preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Physical requirements include frequent walking standing bending stooping and squatting crawling sitting occasional lifting of up to 50lbs.
