Requirements of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) :
- Master s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current and unrestricted license to practice Speech Language Pathology with the State of Texas through TDLR.
- Current CPR/BCLS certification.
Responsibilities of the Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) :
- Completes comprehensive of assessment of speech language and swallowing function and collaborates with the patient s interdisciplinary team (IDT)/attending physician leading to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan.
- Performs periodic reevaluation as necessary and makes adjustments in the treatment plan as needed in accordance with the patients goals and the physician s orders.
- Completes clear and concise documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) that is appropriate to level of care patient required and addresses referrals as appropriate.
