Job Description
Pay Rate: $23.26 $30.29 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Follow safety lock out tag out procedures.
- Makes necessary adjustments and/or repair of ammonia chilled water chlorine ice maker and delivery HVAC and hot water generator and delivery systems. Monitor and make adjustments to product cooler temperatures.
- Operate and perform maintenance on boilers condensate return systems boiler feed water systems stack economizers and chemical injection systems for boilers and cooling towers.
- Interpret readings on the oxygen trim and boiler flame control systems making repairs and/or adjustments as required to insure peak boiler operating efficiency.
- Operate and maintain the hot water generation and delivery systems interpreting pressure and temperature readings and making repairs and or adjustments as required to insure peak operating efficiency.
- Monitor and make adjustments to PAA (Paracidic Acid) pumps to maintain proper concentration levels.
- Operate and maintain Ammonia Compresors and Ammonia Transfer Pumps making repairs and/or adjustments as required to insure peak operating performance of equipment.
- Trouble shoot and repair Ozone Generation systems
- Perform fire sprinkler pump test.
Qualifications :
- Must have knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Must have a minimum of five years experience in the refrigeration field; or the successful completion of a course of instruction in refrigeration combined with three years of experience in the operation and maintenance of boilers up to 600 HP.
- Must have a minimum of five years experience in the refrigeration field; or the successful completion of a course of instruction in refrigeration combined
- Must be able to troubleshoot and make on the spot corrections to emergency situations.
- Must be selfmotivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work form ladder.
- A refrigeration/mechanical test will be administered and utilized to determine the skill level.
- Must be able to work any shifts and weekends as required. Must be willing to be on weekend call rotation.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces pass a SCBA physical exam.
- Must be able to stand for prolong periods of time (810 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor.
- Must be able to weld and perform mechanical and fabrication tasks.
