SAP EHS Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and resultsdriven SAP EHS Manager to join our clients team in Belgium. As the SAP EHS Manager you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing the SAP EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) module to ensure compliance with global regulations drive best practices and optimize business processes related to environmental health and safety management.

This is a handson position requiring a deep understanding of EHS principles along with advanced SAP EHS knowledge to align technology with business needs. You will collaborate with crossfunctional teams including IT legal operations and external partners to successfully integrate SAP solutions that help streamline and manage EHS processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SAP EHS System Management:
   

   • Lead the implementation configuration and maintenance of the SAP EHS module (EHS Management Incident Management Risk Management Compliance Management).
     
   • Continuously improve and optimize the SAP EHS system to meet business and regulatory requirements.
     
   • Ensure the effective integration of SAP EHS with other SAP modules (such as SAP MM SAP QM and SAP PM) to support business processes.
     

2. Compliance and Regulatory Management:
   

   • Ensure that SAP EHS functionalities are aligned with local and international environmental health and safety regulations including REACH OSHA ISO 14001 and other industryspecific standards.
     
   • Manage risk assessments incident reporting and compliance documentation within the SAP EHS system to ensure regulatory adherence.
     
   • Stay updated on evolving EHS laws and regulations to ensure the SAP system remains compliant.
     

3. CrossFunctional Collaboration:
   

   • Work closely with IT operations safety and compliance teams to gather requirements design system solutions and ensure successful system implementation and integration.
     
   • Provide SAP EHS expertise in EHSrelated projects and initiatives to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
     
   • Train and support users on the effective use of SAP EHS tools and features.
     

4. Data Management and Reporting:
   

   • Oversee the generation of EHS reports dashboards and metrics to monitor compliance performance and incident trends.
     
   • Analyse data to identify areas for improvement and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.
     
   • Lead the creation of customized SAP EHS reports for management and stakeholders.
     

5. Project Leadership and Strategy:
   

   • Lead and manage SAP EHS projects from initiation to completion ensuring alignment with business objectives and deadlines.
     
   • Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement and innovation in SAP EHS functionalities.
     
   • Provide leadership in defining system requirements testing and troubleshooting issues.
     

Qualifications:

• Education:
  

  • Bachelor s degree in Environmental Science Occupational Health and Safety Industrial Engineering Information Technology or a related field. A Master s degree is a plus.
    

• Experience:
  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS management and/or SAP EHS system configuration.
    
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing SAP EHS solutions (EHS Management Incident Management Risk Management and Compliance Management).
    
  • Solid understanding of environmental health and safety regulations and compliance frameworks (ISO 14001 OSHA REACH etc.).
    
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of leading SAP EHS projects to successful completion.
    
  • Previous experience in a multinational or global organization is preferred.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
    
  • Fluency in English (additional proficiency in Dutch or French is a plus).
