Roles and responsibilities

• Provides sound technical support for all the Electrical services on the project, providing clear advice, guidance and the encouragement of compliance with standards.
• Provides sound technical advice on Electrical & Building services including management of the programme, health safety & wellbeing, quality & commissioning of the project.
• Liaises and coordinates with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with the client, consultants, trade contractors and other team leaders.
• Undertakes initial review of contracts and scope, advise on the preparation of budgets, value engineering proposals, schedules and trade contracts.
• Must support the commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle in terms of reviewing progress or resolving issues.
• Reviews scope and provides advice and guidance to be considered in the creation of project strategic plans in conjunction with the Mace operating framework and strategic priorities, such as prefabrication (C2P), commissioning and safety.
• Undertakes design reviews on information provided by consultants and trade specialists, checking for compliance, coordination and completeness, including embodied carbon and operational energy associated with the building services design, in accordance with the RIBA and BSRIA design frameworks.
• Reviews and provides guidance on possible delivery strategies and programmes for all phases of the project, ensuring the key milestones, interfaces, dependencies, logistics and work sequencing are all properly considered.
• Reviews commissioning strategies in line with the Mace commissioning standards inclusive of IST approach, ATP’s and Soft Landings.
• Identifies risk and the production of mitigation plans.
• Reviews issues to drive continuous improvement and providing lessons learned through the knowledge share process.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
  

You’ll Need To Have

• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
• Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).

Desired candidate profile

• Electrical Design and Engineering: Proficient in designing electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and electrical equipment layouts, ensuring compliance with client specifications, safety standards, and codes.
• Project Planning and Scheduling: Ability to develop detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules for electrical projects, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Cost Management: Experience in managing project budgets, providing accurate cost estimates for electrical works, and ensuring that projects stay within financial constraints.
• Risk Management: Expertise in identifying potential electrical and safety risks on projects, developing mitigation strategies, and ensuring that all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Installation and Commissioning: Knowledge of electrical system installation, including the ability to oversee the work of contractors and subcontractors, and ensure that electrical systems are commissioned and tested correctly.
• Compliance with Standards: Deep understanding of electrical codes, industry standards, and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, BS7671) to ensure that all electrical installations are compliant with safety and legal requirements.
• Quality Control: Ensuring that electrical works meet industry quality standards and client specifications, overseeing inspections, and addressing any quality issues.
• Team Leadership: Ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, including electricians, engineers, and contractors, to ensure the successful delivery of electrical projects.
• Health and Safety Management: Ensure all electrical works are conducted in compliance with health and safety standards, identifying risks and providing training and safety protocols.
• Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and resolve issues that may arise during the course of the project.
• Project Reporting: Expertise in preparing and delivering regular progress reports on electrical works, highlighting key milestones, risks, and project status to clients and senior management.
