Job Purpose
The Finance and Administration Manager will oversee and optimize financial operations administrative systems and organizational processes to ensure operational excellence. This role requires expertise in business operations proficiency in SAP systems and the ability to coordinate effectively with the headquarters in Japan to align local and global strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Act as an operations expert ensuring seamless financial and administrative workflows.
- Lead the implementation optimization and troubleshooting of SAP systems across the organization.
- Develop and refine operational processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to streamline business operations.
Financial Management
- Oversee financial operations including budgeting forecasting accounts payable accounts receivable and payroll.
- Prepare and present accurate financial reports to support strategic decisionmaking.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure effective fund management.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
- Liaison with HQ in Japan
- Serve as the primary contact for financial and operational communication with HQ in Japan.
- Align local financial and administrative practices with global policies and standards set by HQ.
- Translate and report key financial and operational metrics to HQ as required.
- Coordinate with HQ on strategic initiatives budget approvals and compliance updates.
Administrative Management
- Manage administrative functions including procurement vendor management and contract negotiations.
- Ensure office operations comply with regulatory safety and organizational standards.
- Implement and maintain effective administrative policies and procedures.
- System and Technology Management
- Serve as the organizations SAP expert providing training and support to ensure effective system use.
- Leverage SAP analytics to generate insights and improve reporting accuracy.
- Drive the integration of SAP with other business tools and processes.
Team Leadership
- Supervise mentor and develop finance and administration staff.
- Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Risk and Compliance
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with financial tax and administrative regulations.
- Prepare for and manage audits and inspections as needed.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor s degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or a related field or Professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) is preferred.
- With 5 years experience in finance and accounting operations and at least 2 years people manager role.
- Proficiency in SAP systems and related tools.
- Strong understanding of business operations and financial processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with other financial software.
