Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for providing a comprehensive range of diagnostic imaging examinations like Xrays and computed tomography. The Radiologic Technologist provides XRay diagnostic ultrasound and CT services. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide xray diagnostic ultrasound including Focused Abdominal Sonogram for Trauma (FAST) abdominal thoracic renal cardiac (limited) OB (limited/emergent) GYN genitourinary and vascular evaluations.  
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records. 
  • Prepares patients for radiological procedure by positioning patient. 
  • Adjusts immobilization devices moves equipment into specified positions and modifies equipment controls to set exposure factors. 
  • Providing explanations of treatment and answering questions for patients. 
  • Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques using beam restrictive devices patient shielding and knowledge of exposure factors. 
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infectioncontrol policies and protocols. 
  • Follows drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs such as contrast media administering first aid and using the emergency cart. 
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations. 
  • Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events. 
  • Performance of other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications :

Basic Requirements/Certifications:  

  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a Radiology Technician is required including 6 months within the last year. 
  • Must have an unrestricted license or be American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certified.  
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).  
  • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred. 

Education Required: 

  • Must have completed an approved Radiology Technician program leading to a Diploma Certificate or associate degree. U.S. Military Radiology Technician technical school training certification (4R0X1 68P HM8451) may also fulfil this requirement. 

Physical Requirements

  • Must meet predeployment physical requirements.  
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 
  • May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs. 

Other Special Qualifications

  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.    
  • Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.  
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.  
  • Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project. 
  • Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Compensation Min: 120000  Max: 135000

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
