Main Responsibilities
Partnership and Governance
- Support the preparation of briefing materials for Bureau and Steering Committee meetings and their smooth and effective implementation.
- Support the preparation and provide oversight of MOPANs Working Groups and their smooth and effective implementation.
- Support the MOPAN Policy Advisor to engage with MOPAN members and other multilateral stakeholders to implement MOPANs Programme of Work and maximise impact.
- Conduct and contribute to policy research and analysis on member policy positions on issues of multilateral performance.
- Assist with MOPAN expanding its involvement in policy dialogues across the multilateral system.
Strategic Engagement
- Lead elements of MOPANs engagement and inclusivity efforts including operational and monitoring activities and memberonly briefings
- Support and prepare materials for MOPANs annual highlevel and other events and briefings including member presentations talking points and background information on multilateral development policies.
- Support the development and implementation of MOPANs engagement and inclusivity strategy and the Networks strategic development including expansion activities.
- Support the management of the MOPANs directory and engagement with key multilateral stakeholders.
Policy Research and Advice
- Develop a robust understanding of the MOPAN assessment methodology and the politicaleconomy context of the multilateral system.
- Provide research and analysis of emerging systemic questions to support MOPAN member needs and MOPANs 202526 Programme of Work and Budget.
- Support the delivery of MOPAN assessments and insights as needed including engagement with specialtrack organisations and external multilateral stakeholders.
- Contribute to the preparation of background documentation for the Head of Secretariat and MOPAN Institutional Leads for MOPAN assessment and insight events.
Other tasks:
- Contribute to MOPAN Secretariat reflections on improving the impact of MOPANs work and delivery of new vision and strategy.
- Support horizontal collaboration within the MOPAN Secretariat and between MOPAN and DCD.
Qualifications :
Ideal Candidate Profile
Academic and Professional Background
- An advanced university degree in international affairs/relations development political science public administration economics or other related fields.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience in development cooperation issues and/or international relations. Experience working with multilateral organisations or delegations to multilateral organisations would be an advantage.
- Skills in policy analysis synthesizing reports and identifying key issues examples of best practices and areas of improvement within the multilateral system.
- Excellent drafting communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience with project and portfolio management in partnership and governance areas would be an advantage
- Familiarity with MOPANs work would be an advantage.
Languages
- An excellent command of one of the two official languages of the OECD (English and French) and working knowledge of or willingness to learn the other.
- Knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.
