Job Description
Position: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) CVOR /OR
Start Date: 12/16/2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: Midland MI 48670
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 6:30 AM 5:00 PM 10
Shift Notes: 10 Hour Days (40 Hour Guarantee)
Weekend Requirements: Every Third
OnCall Requirements: 12 nights/week & every 3rd weekend
COVID Vaccination: na
Travel Policy: Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50mile radius restriction)
Dress Code: HospitalProvided Scrubs
Summary: This individual fills the role of surgical technologist II in the Operating Room. They understand and demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures. Assure all supplies and equipment are available for the procedure and in working condition. Confirm and/or assemble sterile instruments for use correctly. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon. They assist in keeping an accurate account of drugs sharps and instruments. They are responsible for maintaining and monitoring the sterile field.
We will want the candidate to have experience in a tertiary care center and or designated level I or II trauma center. I think we would consider level III but would have to ask the candidate some additional questions about their experience.
Submission Requirements- At least 5 years of experience Required
- Open Heart Experience Required
- BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA Required
- Tertiary care center and/or designated level I or II trauma center experience Required
- Travel experience Highly Preferred
- BLS (AHA)
