Job Description
Position: Pharmacy Technician
Start Date: 12/16/2024
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: St Ignace MI 49781
Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Days 8
Shift Notes: MF 10:30 am7 pm but some weekend hours may be needed. No oncall for techs.
Weekend Requirements: As needed

The job duties of a certified pharmacy tech usually include the following:
- Preparation of medications for patients
- Receiving and verifying the prescriptions
- Pricing and filling of prescriptions
- Obtaining the pharmacists approval
- Completing patient paperwork related to the filling of a prescription
- Assisting with insurance claims processing (usually a pharmacist will handle this but an assistants help will be needed the entire process is done online)
- Stocking and pricing of medications in inventory
- Ensuring the availability of drugs by delivering them to patients or facilities
- Maintaining the pharmacys (and its patients employees) safety by adhering to infectioncontrol procedures policies and regulations
- 1 year of experience in a hospital setting Required
- National Certification through any Source Required
- BLS Preferred
- Epic experience Required
- Michigan
- Must have an MI License at the time of submission
