Job Description
Summary: This individual fills the role of surgical technologist II in the Operating Room. They understand and demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures. Assure all supplies and equipment are available for the procedure and in working condition. Confirm and/or assemble sterile instruments for use correctly. Anticipate the needs of the surgeon. They assist in keeping an accurate account of drugs sharps and instruments. They are responsible for maintaining and monitoring the sterile field.
Requirement description :
- At least 5 years of experience Required
- Open Heart Experience Required
- BLS (AHA) and NBSTSA Required
- Tertiary care center and/or designated level I or II trauma center expereince Required
- Travel experience Highly Preferred
- ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION (Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer / Please obtain this information prior to submittal / Requests after offer can be cause for rescinded offer)
- Work History
- Skills Checklist current to 1 year pertinent to the specialty
- 2 Supervisory Reference Forms taken within the last two years
- License/Certifications (NBSTSA & BLS AHA)
- Candidates Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates 50 mile radius restriction)
On Call rate is BR for this position
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
- BLS (AHA)
- NBSTSA
ADDITIONAL LICENSE REQUIREMENTS :
Weekend Requirements : Every Third
On Call Requirements : 12 nights/week & every 3rd weekend
