Role: Senior Manager Research Delhi
Experience: 10 years
Salary: 1822 LPA
Insight: We are looking for someone with strong expertise in research focused on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and education particularly with a deep understanding of research tools and the ability to manage the entire research process from start to finish. This person should excel in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies data analysis and report writing along with experience in managing educationrelated projects.

Language and Learning Foundation () is a New Delhibased nonprofit organization with the vision of enhancing equitable student learning especially language and literacy development through the professional development of teachers and teacher educators building/sharing knowledge and implementing projects in collaboration with state governments. LLF currently works with 7 state governments across the country.

LLF is a systemfocused and impactdriven organization dedicated to addressing the foundational learning crisis in collaboration with the national and state governments in India. Over the past 8 years we have improved foundational learning outcomes of 850000 children and classroom processes of 250000 teachers and teacher educators across 8 states. Position Description
The Senior Manager Research will lead LLFs research strategy overseeing both programmatic and ecosystemdriven studies. The role involves driving highimpact research initiatives setting the research agenda and collaborating closely with stakeholders to inform program and policy improvements across geographies. The Senior Manager will manage the research team ensuring methodological rigor timely execution and alignment with organizational goals.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Research Strategy and Leadership:
Define and lead the strategic research agenda ensuring alignment with LLFs vision and goals.
Manage and mentor the research team fostering a culture of rigor and excellence in research.
Drive longterm research projects with national and global partners ensuring highquality outputs.
Programmatic Research:
- Identify key programmatic areas requiring research such as classroom practices and teacher beliefs and design comprehensive studies to address them.
- Collaborate with program teams to integrate research findings into program design across multiple project sites including Uttar Pradesh Haryana Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.
Larger Ecosystem Research:
- Lead largescale ecosystemdriven studies on critical educational themes such as Multilingual Education and multilevel classroom management.
- Oversee research partnerships with external organizations and academics ensuring LLF remains at the forefront of educational research.
Study Designs and Data Collection:
- Develop and approve study designs for research projects ensuring the inclusion of robust qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
- Oversee the creation of data collection tools ensuring accuracy and consistency across project sites.
- Provide guidance to field teams to ensure highquality data collection and adherence to research protocols.
Recommendations and Implementation:
- Interpret complex data to provide actionable insights that support programmatic improvements and policy advocacy.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations communicating research findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to implement research recommendations and track the impact of research on program design.
Publications and Knowledge Dissemination:
- Lead the dissemination of research findings through publications reports and conferences positioning LLF as a thought leader in the field.
- Engage with academic and policy forums to promote LLFs research and influence educational practices nationally.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to gather information on existing processes and identify areas for evaluation.
- Analyse current processes to identify bottlenecks inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Conduct data collection through interviews surveys observations and data analysis tools.
Analyse data and make recommendation
Support teams by providing specific feedback from process study findings and help them make changes in program design across projects
Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities based on data analysis and stakeholder input.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop actionable recommendations for enhancements.
Create detailed reports and presentations outlining evaluation findings recommendations and implementation plans.
Educational Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- PostGraduate degree from a reputed institute with a focus on research methods including quantitative and qualitative analysis. A higher degree (M.Phil/PhD) is highly preferred.
- 1015 years of experience leading research projects with a strong background in education or related fields.
- Proven ability to lead teams manage multiple projects and mentor junior researchers.
- Indepth knowledge of diverse research methodologies and techniques including qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders including government bodies academic institutions and donors.
- Strong skills in strategic thinking problemsolving and collaboration across functions.
Field travel will be required.
