Take care of all VIP suite room guests and coordinate with all concerned departments to fulfill guest needs and requests.
Set tables trays according to type of food ordered and the hotels service standards
Fully aware of the Room Service and other outlets menu answers questions on menu selections communicates with the kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
Uses proper telephone etiquette
Keeps concerned departments informed about the guest allergies and food preferences
Accurately records prechecks and picksup all food and beverage orders
Update the hotel software with guest preference likes and dislikes on to the guest profile section
Responsible for cleaning and removing the trolleys/trays from guest rooms and corridor.
Serves guests their food and beverage in prompt courteous manner as per the standard sequence of service
To have a full knowledge of the food & beverage items & their specifications menu prices recipes and style of service etc.
To have a thorough understanding and knowledge of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food & Beverage combinations and also up sell alternatives
Assist in carrying out scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment
Ensure to have minimum wastage and breakage
Ensure communication between Kitchen Order taker and room service or butler team members
To ensure a very good relationship between the Operations floor the Kitchen & Front of the House
Follows all the guest needs until they are completed to the total guest satisfaction
Serves the guests in a calm discreet and courteous manner respecting timing standards
Maintain cleanliness of work areas crockery ware glass ware etc. throughout the day.
Keep updating your team leaders for the perishable & nonperishable store items requisition as per the operational needs.
Proper handover should be given to other shifts regarding advance breakfast lunch and dinner.
Proper handover of wake up calls along with the tea/coffee order
Other Responsibilities
Be fully conversant with all departmental Fire Emergency and Bomb procedures
Ensure that all emergency procedures are rehearsed implemented and enforced to provide for the security and safety of guests and employees
Ensure the safety of the persons and the property of all within the premises by fairly applying Hotel Regulations by strict adherence to existing laws statutes etc.
Ensure all staff within the department work in a manner which is safe and unlikely to give risk of harm or injury to selves or others
Use safe manual handling techniques and practice safe work habits following Accor Health Safety and Environment policies maintain procedures to minimize our impact on the environment and prevent pollution.
Qualifications :
Degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management
Maintain highest standards and quality of services.
Minimum 2 years experience on similar role in 5 star hotel
Fluent in the national language business English (written/oral) additional language (i.e. French Arabic Russian) would be an added advantage
