Job Description

HM Note: This hybrid role is three (3) days in office


Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management for various highprofile projects within the branch
  • Ensure project deliverables meet clients business requirements on time scope and budget with a focus on costeffectiveness efficiencies and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks and nbsp;
  • Interact with senior staff within the ministry and with external partners and manage relationships and nbsp;
  • Lead organizational development strategy development business planning and ministry funding requests. and nbsp;
  • Gather and develop requirements to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan and nbsp;
  • Identify team members in various disciplines clarify roles and responsibilities and set task/ deliverable/performance expectations for resources that are both OPS unionized employees as well as Fee for Service (FFS) consultants and nbsp;
  • Resolve resourcing and interpersonal conflicts negotiate changes to resourcing ensure knowledge is shared among team members so that project objectives and deliverables are met and nbsp;
  • Develop complex project budgets based on multiple funding channels and crossministry dependencies and nbsp;
  • Effectively manage large project budgets and ensure a high level of fiscal control and accountability including estimates forecasts and reconciliation/confirmation of actuals and nbsp;
  • Use ministry project management tools for recording and reporting project/program data and nbsp;
  • Participate in team meetings and nbsp;
  • Create/update Integrated Project Management Plan (IPP) adjust and update IPP as per change requests and nbsp;
  • Perform reviews of schedule variance analysis adjust leads and lags and revise schedule and nbsp;
  • Manage and monitor project progress critical path activities and report on slippage and nbsp;
  • Create overall project status and project progress reports for project executives and stakeholders and nbsp;
  • Identify and manage issues review issue status and produce issue logs and nbsp;
  • Proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed and nbsp;
  • Articulate and prioritize issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers and nbsp;
  • Review change requests and prepare change requests report to be reviewed by Change Control Board and adjust integrated project plan accordingly and nbsp;
  • Prepare business transformation and adoption plans and nbsp;
  • Create and provide knowledge transfer documentation as part of the knowledge transfer plan and nbsp;
  • Establish and participate in steering committee and stakeholder forums and nbsp;
  • Provide project program and/or portfolio reporting to multistakeholders at senior executive levels and nbsp;
  • Use appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects concept definition planning implementation and closeout and nbsp;
  • Promote OPS I and amp;IT standards and best practices for project management to facilitate control of system quality adherence to standard methodology and the control of the use of I and amp;IT resources and nbsp;
  • Adopt and adhere to OPS Unified I and amp;IT Project Methodology OPS/eHealth Ontario Gating process and nbsp;
  • Be a demonstrated team player with a track record for meeting deadlines. and nbsp;
