The Assistant Professor of Anatomy will play a pivotal role in delivering highquality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The role includes teaching mentoring conducting research and contributing to the academic and administrative growth of the Anatomy Department.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Develop and deliver lectures practical sessions and tutorials on human anatomy.
- Prepare and update course materials to ensure alignment with curriculum standards and advancements in the field.
- Supervise and assess students during dissections and laboratory work.
- Assist in the development of innovative teaching methods and resources.
Research:
- Conduct original research in the field of anatomy and publish findings in reputable journals.
- Apply for research grants and funding to support departmental research initiatives.
- Guide and mentor students in research projects thesis writing and presentations.
Student Mentorship:
- Provide academic advising and career guidance to students.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Address student queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Administrative Duties:
- Participate in departmental meetings curriculum development and accreditation processes.
- Assist in organizing seminars workshops and guest lectures.
- Contribute to departmental reviews and quality assurance activities.
Other Responsibilities:
- Stay updated with advancements in anatomical sciences and integrate relevant developments into teaching.
- Collaborate with colleagues in interdepartmental and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Uphold the institution s standards for professionalism ethics and academic integrity.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
Educational Qualifications:
- MBBS with an MD in Anatomy or equivalent qualification as per MCI/NMC norms.
- PhD in Anatomy (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
- Minimum X years of teaching experience (freshers with exceptional qualifications may be considered).
- Proven experience in research with published work in indexed journals.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of gross anatomy histology embryology and neuroanatomy.
- Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching and research.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
