Key Responsibilities:
Teaching and Mentoring:
- Deliver highquality lectures seminars and practical sessions in psychiatry for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Develop and update course syllabi learning materials and assessment methods.
- Provide academic and career guidance to students and trainees.
- Supervise research projects dissertations and clinical rotations.
Research and Scholarship:
- Conduct and publish original research in peerreviewed journals.
- Collaborate with faculty and students on interdisciplinary research projects.
- Seek and manage research grants and funding opportunities.
- Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Participate in clinical duties within the affiliated teaching hospital or institution.
- Provide psychiatric consultations and treatment to patients if applicable.
- Maintain high standards of clinical care and ethical practices.
Administrative Duties:
- Contribute to departmental and institutional administrative responsibilities including curriculum development and academic committees.
- Participate in student recruitment admissions processes and outreach activities.
- Stay updated on advancements in psychiatry and integrate new knowledge into teaching and research.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: MD/DNB in Psychiatry or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in psychiatry including mentorship of postgraduate students.
- Research: Proven track record of research publications in reputable journals.
- Certification: Valid medical licensure or registration as required by the institution or country of practice.
