About the Role: The Junior Cost Accountant will support Central Moloneys financial health by maintaining and analyzing cost data across departments. This position monitors costrelated data assists with monthend close and provides insights to help optimize production costs and overall financial performance. The role offers a valuable opportunity for growth within a dynamic and evolving industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor maintain and create part information within the company’s financial systems.
- Participate in the monthend close process including journal entry input and variance analysis.
- Assist with developing and analyzing standard cost rates ensuring accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with various departments to analyze the cost of goods margins purchase price production variances and other operating expenses.
- Support physical inventory processes ensuring accurate cost allocation and reporting.
- Prepare and deliver adhoc reports and analyses as requested by leadership to support business decisionmaking.
Required Qualifications
- A fouryear college degree with a major in accounting or finance
- Recent college graduates with Accounting or Finance degrees are encouraged to apply
- Analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Prior experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
