Location: Various locations across Nova Scotia
The Event Planner/Coordinator is responsible for organizing and executing events that promote the organization s mission engage stakeholders and generate funding. This role involves managing event logistics budgets and marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate events such as fundraisers workshops and community programs.
- Develop event budgets and ensure cost efficiency.
- Identify and book venues vendors and other resources.
- Promote events through marketing campaigns and social media.
- Oversee event registration attendance and feedback collection.
- Coordinate eventday operations including setup and breakdown.
- Maintain records of events and prepare reports on their success.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in event management hospitality or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning or coordination.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
