We require a junior Legal Counsel to work across Teya Legal team but with experience in commercial and employment legal work. Responsibilities would include:
- Working with senior members of the legal team to provide daytoday advice to the Teya business on a broad range of issues but with a particular focus on employment commercial and corporate law matters.
- Drafting reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to support the wider business.
- Assisting with a variety of employment matters including implementation and administration of the Companys employee incentive schemes recruitment disciplinary and grievance matters and employment tribunal proceedings.
- Liaising with local counsel and local teams within the Teya network.
- Supporting with building and improving processes in the team and how it works with the business.
- Assisting with training stakeholders and leaders in respect of legal issues and best practice.

Qualifications :
- Qualified solicitor (01 PQE) in England and Wales
- Fluency in English
- An interest in the inhouse legal world and the fintech industry
- Handson attitude and ability to take initiative
- Pragmatic and commercial approach to legal issues; ability to problem solve and think strategically in helping Teya achieve its goals
- Solutionsoriented approach to legal and commercial risk
- Effective communication skills and an ability to work effectively with the wider business
