UXO Technician III

AECOM is actively seeking a creative highly talented UXO Technician III for employment on Guam.

In accordance with Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP18) a UXO Technician III:

• Performs reconnaissance and classification of UXO. Identifies U.S. and foreignguided missiles bombs and bomb fuzes projectiles and projectile fuzes grenades and grenades fuzes rockets and rocket fuzes land mines and associated components pyrotechnics military explosives and demolition materials. Supervises the location of subsurface UXO using military and/or civilian magnetometers.supervises the:

• Excavation and recovery of subsurface UXO.

• Construction of engineering controls.

• Location of surface UXO by visual means.

• Transportation and storage of UXO assuring compliance with federal State and local laws.

• Disposal of UXO by burning or detonation.

• Determines UXOrelated storage compatibility.

• Supervises the donning and doffing of PPE and maintenance and operator checks on all team equipment.

• Prepares UXOrelated administrative reports and maintains a daily logbook

• Conducts daily team safety and task hazard analysis briefings.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma 4 years of experience and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

• Current drivers license. The position requires using an AECOM provided vehicle and/or personal vehicle for AECOM company business.

• Pass preemployment drug screen.

• Participate in and successfully complete a postoffer preemployment fitness for duty exam in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.120. This position is contingent upon passing a Fit for Duty exam by receiving a medically qualified fit for duty result letter indicating the employee is medically qualified to conduct work activities at the jobsite.

• 40hour HAZWOPER

• 8hour OSHA Supervisor (initial)

• Current 8hour HAZWOPER refresher

In accordance with Department of Defense Explosives Safety Board Technical Paper 18 (DDESB TP18) a UXO Technician III shall meet the following minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of a military EOD assistant course; or an accredited UXO technician training course; or military EOD school of the US Canada Great Britain Germany or Australia.

• Onthejob training including but not limited to familiarity with the process procedures and equipment (e.g. geophysical) used for conducting MECrelated activities.

• Military EOD school graduates: 1 year minimum MECrelated experience 8 years total EOD and MEC experience.

• Accredited UXO School graduates: 8 years minimum MECrelated experience.

• Graduate of an OSHAcompliant (Section 1910.120(e)(4) of Title 29 CFR) 8hour Management and Supervisor Training Course.

Preferred Qualifications

• Explosive Ordnance Disposal certificate

• Prior MEC munitions responserelated work experience in Guam
