Backend Software Engineer

Your Mission

You will work with a diverse team to help shape the future of our authentication (user and machinetomachine) and user management that form the backbone of Teyas financial technology platform.

As a backend software engineer you will take ownership of the full feature development lifecycle with increased responsibility in design implementation and delivery.

Working with technologies such as Kotlin and Java youll write scalable maintainable highperformance code. Youll play a key role in ensuring our backend systems are robust and reliable focusing on continuous deployment and iterative delivery. Your contributions will directly impact the stability and efficiency of our infrastructure enabling you to deliver significant value to our merchants onboarding process in a fastpaced dynamic environment. Youll also have opportunities to influence backend architecture decisions.

On a regular day as a Backend Software Engineer you will:

• Design develop and maintain clean efficient and welltested code to support critical business needs ensuring scalability and performance across backend systems.
• Take ownership of features and projects throughout the full software development lifecycle including scoping development testing deployment and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams providing technical insights and contributing to backend architecture discussions to ensure reliable and efficient solutions.
• Enhance existing systems and build new tools to improve operational efficiency reliability and scalability of products across the identity verification access control and user data management services.
• Participate in code reviews share feedback constructively and help elevate the overall quality and performance of the teams output.
• Contribute to process improvements focusing on continuous integration delivery and deployment to ensure a smooth and stable development pipeline.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies as well as best practices in cybersecurity and identity management proactively identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with the compliance and security teams to ensure our authentication and user management systems adhere to relevant financial regulations and data protection laws across different jurisdictions.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex issues related to user authentication and account management providing timely resolutions to ensure uninterrupted service for our customers.

Qualifications :

Your Story

• 4 years of professional software development experience including a solid understanding of backend systems and scalable architectures.
• Strong knowledge of objectoriented programming (OOP) principles data structures and algorithms with proven experience applying them in realworld applications.
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient maintainable and scalable solutions using backend technologies (e.g. Kotlin Java C# or similar languages).
• Experience working with databases including schema design query optimization and database integration.
• Experience with system design and architecture including objectoriented design patterns microservices architecture and API development.
• Ability to write performant and wellstructured code.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Handson experience with version control (Git) continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to debug complex issues across multiple systems or services.
• The ability to work well as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.

Nice to have:

• Experience with User and MachinetoMachine Authentication (OIDC OAuth etc) and IAMs.
