The Project Manager will oversee the planning execution and completion of largescale aviation construction projects such as terminal expansions or refurbishments. This role will manage the project team and ensure the timely delivery of milestones within the defined scope schedule and budget. The Project Manager will directly report to the Project Director and interact with clients contractors and relevant stakeholders to ensure the project aligns with industry regulations and contractual requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
Lead and manage the project execution ensuring compliance with client specifications safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and implement project plans including budgets schedules and resource allocation.
Oversee the review and approval of contractors shop drawings and monitor construction progress.
Coordinate with design teams engineers and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Manage project risks by identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
Ensure the project adheres to airport safety standards environmental laws and quality management systems (QMS).
Regularly report project status financials and key milestones to senior management and stakeholders.
Foster strong relationships with airport authorities regulatory bodies and contractors.
Manage change orders ensuring proper documentation and control over project variations.
Monitor and control project budgets ensuring financial performance aligns with set objectives.
Skills / Competencies
Strong leadership abilities to manage crossfunctional teams.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction report writing and team coordination.
Proven track record of managing complex construction projects in the aviation sector.
Indepth knowledge of construction project management software (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
Strong understanding of aviation regulations safety standards and construction codes.
Fluent in English both written and spoken with excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
Additional Requirement
Experience working in the GCC region is preferred.
Familiarity with the DesignBidBuild delivery method.
Experience in managing airportrelated construction projects such as terminal refurbishments and expansions.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management Architecture or equivalent
Minimum 15 years in largescale construction projects with a focus on aviation infrastructure
