Job Description
We are looking for a Broadcast Technician to join the Technology team in Philadelphia PA supporting WCAU NBC 10. As a Broadcast Technician you will be primarily responsible for implementing and supporting broadcast technology and users within our mission critical media production environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Installation configuration maintenance and repair of field newsgathering and media production systems ensuring reliability of technology and operations.
- Support of remote sites including microwave remote camera and transmitter plants.
- Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
- Provide efficient and effective technical support incident response and customer communication ensuring appropriate utilization of NBCU service delivery platforms.
- Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cyber security policies and standards.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Bachelors degree in engineering radio television & film related fields or equivalent experience.
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
- Support of mid to major market news or live event production operations & 24x7 mission critical technology facilities.
- Expertise in support of media technology including SDI video infrastructures contribution & distribution encoding live production systems field / news gathering tools and transmission systems including high power television transmitters.
- History of successfully contributing to complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
Eligibility Requirements:

- Must be willing to work at both locations in Roxborough PA and Philadelphia PA
- Willingness to travel and work outside standard hours and on weekends with short notice.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Required to join the IBEW.
- Valid drivers license
- Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Required onsite: This in position is required to be performed full time from an NBCUniversal designated work site.
