Job Description
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing highquality care to elderly individuals. As a Care Assistant you will play a pivotal role in helping seniors maintain their dignity independence and wellbeing. Your efforts will ensure our clients receive the best possible support in a warm respectful and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care Support: Assist clients with daily personal hygiene tasks including bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
- Mobility Assistance: Help clients with moving around their homes including transferring from bed to chair using mobility aids and accompanying them on walks.
- Meal Preparation & Feeding: Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and assist clients with feeding ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
- Medication Management: Support clients in taking prescribed medications as per care plans and assist with organizing medication schedules.
- Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations activities and hobbies offering emotional and psychological support.
- Household Assistance: Light housekeeping duties such as laundry cleaning and ensuring the home environment is safe and tidy.
- Monitoring Health & Wellbeing: Observe and report any changes in the clients physical or mental condition to senior staff or family members ensuring a timely response to any concerns.
- Documentation: Keep accurate records of client care including daily logs medication administration and any changes in health status.
Qualifications :
- Experience: Previous experience in a care role particularly in elderly care is highly desirable. However training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Compassion & Patience: A genuine passion for working with elderly individuals showing empathy and providing excellent care.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with both clients and family members.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to assist clients with mobility and perform physical tasks associated with personal care.
- Reliability: A responsible punctual and dependable individual who takes pride in their work and can follow through on tasks.
- Qualification: Any specific certifications or qualifications required such as Care Certificate NVQ or equivalent.
- Background Check: Successful completion of an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check and reference checks
