Checkout.com is looking for an ambitious and talented Senior Analyst Scheme Compliance Analyst to join our growing team and support our global ecommerce portfolio. The candidate will be contributing to building and improving our scheme compliance function and its capabilities.
The primary responsibilities will be to conduct reliable and detailed analytical tasks including but not limited to merchant research investigating and replying to scheme violations and taking action on remediation efforts to mitigate card scheme risks. The candidate will be required to understand scheme rules and various updates advise on scheme rules help draft internal guidance as needed and propose solutions to improve internal policy and processes. The candidate will need to possess excellent organizational skills good project management skills demonstrate the ability to meet tight SLAs and be very conversant with online tools such as Google Workspace.
As part of this role the ability to provide support to multiple stakeholders including Risk Underwriting Commercial Compliance Legal Product Financial Partnerships etc will be required as it pertains to the review the merchant setups scheme rules implications and propose the required action. The candidate will therefore need to coordinate with peers to ensure effective execution of specific tasks.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive and confident individual with an attention to detail and has strong interpersonal organizational and technical skills and one who can demonstrate the ability to exercise good judgment in a fastpaced environment.
How youll make an impact
Coordinate with various internal stakeholders and conduct detailed investigations on various merchants using multiple internal & external data sources.
Perform indepth investigations of merchant setups including conducting periodic reviews of portfolio to identify noncompliance with scheme regulations.
Collaborate with all stakeholders to resolve issues related to noncompliance with the card scheme rules.
Provide timely response to all internal & external queries/requests through Checkout.coms ticketing system.
Follow up on pending scheme compliance issues and perform investigations on new and ongoing scheme compliance cases.
Generate detailed investigation report highlighting various risks its impact & proposed solution.
Implement new processes/controls to ensure compliance with the scheme regulations.
Read new changes/amendments to scheme rules & regulations and provide suggestions on updating internal policy/processes in a timely manner;
Participate in audits of our internal processes identify gaps and assist in smooth implementation of proposed amendments.
Maintain an indepth working knowledge of card scheme rules
Conduct training sessions for various teams & share knowledge on scheme rules
The ideal candidate will also be expected to perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Good understanding of the payment landscape in the North America and/or Canada region.
Solution driven approach with exemplary problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present analysis and recommendations in a succinct manner.
Ability and willingness to learn & understand various complex payment terminology gain knowledge with an emphasis on continuous reading about new payment trends.
Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English. (Ability to communicate in other languages will be a plus)
Proficient in PowerPoint Excel and analytic tools will be a plus.
Bachelors degree holder or equivalent
Additional Information :
For regular fulltime employees in New York City the estimated base salary for this role is $94669.00 to $111375.00 per year. Additionally this role is eligible to earn an annual cash bonus.
