Job Description
As a Sales Engineer you are responsible for technical ownership of client relationships from initial contact in the sales cycle throughout the solution process integration and golive stages of the customer journey. The ability to solve business and technical requirements through the application of Checkout.com products and solutions is core to the success of the position. Along the way youll collaborate closely with various inhouse talents across Technology and Business to position our capabilities products services and solutions effectively with prospects.
What You Will Be Doing
- Gathering and documenting merchants requirements through the sales process
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to Checkouts merchants
- Project managing large merchants accounts
- Being constantly up to date with industry standards in order to offer the best bespoke solutions to our merchants
- Working crossfunctionally with internal teams (sales implementation engineering product etc)
- Sales enablement and RfP support
- Talking to and building a relationship with merchants
- Being a trusted advisor for merchants
Qualifications :
About You
- Payments digital banking or financial services industry experience.
- Experience working in a technical clientfacing role preferred. Operating within the commercial teams but having the technical knowhow to assist in presales & postsales with a solutionbased approach to integrations troubleshooting addon features etc.
- Familiar with API based integration methods associated best practices and related tools/frameworks.
- Experience with at least one common frontend (pure JavaScript React Angular etc) and backend (Java .NET Python Node etc) technology.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal in English.
- Confident communicating with Clevel executives.
- Organised and able to prioritise shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to travel 1015% of the time for client and team onsite meetings

Working style:
Please note that this role is Hybridbased with 3 days a week (Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday) in the Amsterdam office.
