As a Senior Product Data Scientist youll work as part of a crossfunctional team alongside product managers designers and software and analytics engineers using data and your expertise to influence and drive the strategy of our products. Youll help define how we measure the success of our products collaborate with engineers on how we collect data design and help build reports/dashboards and run analyses to find product improvement opportunities. Youll be a coowner of a product driving it to success in partnership with other crossfunctional team members.
You will be joining the Identity Verification team responsible to maintain and continuously improve a worldclass online identity verification technology based on realtime video recognition. Were a new but highly visible function within Checkout.com so this is an exciting opportunity to drive a positive impact.
Youll also be part of the broader data function a team of Data Engineers Analytics Engineers Data Scientists and Data Product Managers.
How youll make an impact:
Be responsible for a product domain and its metrics. Youll be accountable for defining measuring and presenting metrics
Contribute to product roadmaps through databased recommendations and continuously define highimpact areas for improvement
Supporting product discovery research and experimentation
Working closely with Data Engineers to make sure we collect and model the right data to produce relevant business insights
Design and implement reusable and scalable data models for our data warehouse using dbt and Snowflake
Design and implement Looker structures (explores views etc) which will enable users across the organization to selfserve analytics
Foster data culture across products and technology by actively sharing insights and ideas and building positive relationships with colleagues
Build experiments and analysis frameworks to quantify the ROI of product development.
Drive by example your team and broader data community to apply best practices in analytics from data collection to analysis.
Qualifications :
Proven delivery experience as a Data Analyst or statistical Data Scientist
Strong communicator youre able to explain complex technical topics to nontechnical team members
Experience conducting experiments building measurement frameworks and validating the results with relevant quantitative methods
Strong analytical mind proven experience in converting ambiguous problems into structured and datainformed solutions
Curiosity and attention to detail: you like to explore and understand the trends and investigate unusual patterns
Proficiency in SQL for data interrogation and data transformation (ideally experience with Looker Snowflake and dbt)
Knowledge of applied statistics (e.g. hypothesis testing regression)

Hybrid Working Model: All of our offices globally are onsite 3 times per week (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday).
