Associate Reconciliations

The role

Checkout.com is actively looking for a driven and agile Associate Reconciliations to join our growing Finance team in Singapore. 

Working as part of our Treasury function youll support the reconciliations of Payment Gateway (Schemes/APM) as well as Safeguarding / Client Fund Segregation  transactions. Evolving in a highpace and multifaceted environment meticulous attention to detail will be key.

The ideal candidate will be a dedicated laserfocused and highly organized individual not shying away from high volume of work. You must be a teammate when it comes to getting the job done and assisting wherever you can.

What youll be doing

• Improve processes while maintaining robust controls.

• Perform automation work and support new product projects alongside crossfunctional teams.

• Support the implementation of reconciliation systems (internal external)

• Support Reconciliation leadership with adhoc tasks (including. reconciliation signoffs) and regular critical metric dashboards.

• Be an SME in reconciliations systems and tools of online payment transactions apply commanding knowledge of clearing and settlement processes to balance priorities in project delivery.

• Assist with training of junior staff and updating process documentation

• Support the team on audits both internal and external.

• Continually develop skills and knowledge in line with business growth and expansion.

• Reconcile Checkout.coms payment gateway processing across multiple bank accounts and providers.

• Identify discrepancies the respective root causes and take action to eliminate and prevent any such in perspective.

• Connect with internal and external partners to resolve queries in an effective and timely manner.

• Perform safeguarding reconciliation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Identify and resolve safeguarding issues in a timely manner.

• Develop and implement controls to optimize safeguarding and reconciliation processes

Qualifications :

About you:

• University degree in a numerical subject (and strong academic record) or 2 years work experience in reconciliations in a highvolume transaction environment.

• Very good knowledge of MS Excel (Formulas PQ or VBA).

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets with skill and confidence.

• Consistent track record to find endtoend solutions to issues and work crossfunctionally and with remote teams.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment and often shifting priorities.

• Proficiency in English and excellent communication skills at all levels

• Knowledge of Card Schemes Alternative Payment Methods or Payin / Payout solutions

• Ability to selfmanage individual projects of high complexity and automate manual tasks within the team or department.

• Ability to establish relationships with key partner groups to achieve business outcomes and improve efficiency of processes.

• Fast learner able to work independently and with minimal direction.

• SarbanesOxley Controls experience will be an added advantage

• Ability to utilize a variety of computer software packages is an added advantage 

• Ability to write SQL query Java scripts and good working knowledge on Power BI Power Automate & Macros will be an added advantage

Hybrid Working Model:
All of our offices globally are onsite 3 times per week (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday).
