Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our distributed team in Vattenfall. Our colleagues work from Poland Germany Sweden and the Netherlands. We work mostly remotely but we believe in keeping team spirit alive thats why we meet on location at least once a year.
Also we meet during our virtual daily standups during which we talk about sprint progress and help each other when needed.
What will you do
In the role as cloud engineer you will be working in a team that is very close to business but also to all other IT teams. To succeed in this role it is important that you have the ability to get an Tshaped skill profile. This means be an expert in one or more of the following areas: Network OS Backup Security Databases Web but become a generalist on all other areas touched by the cloud. So there is not one person dealing e.g. with Network it is the whole team. Since automation is key for our delivery you are also expected to have the ability to code and/or script. You need to be open for a fast changing and developing environment which will challenge you every day.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
As our cloud engineer your major responsible for ensuring a stable cloud platform which is evolving with the needs of the organization. Specific tasks would include:
- Scripting
- Automation and orchestration CI/CD with Azure DevOps
- Configuration Management
- OS support
- Governance enforcement
- SaaS/PaaS support
- Cloud Networking
- Security enforcement
- Source Code Management

Katowice/Gliwice Berlin Hamburg Stockholm or Amsterdam
