We are looking for a Finance Intern who can bring a handson approach to daytoday operations while staying focused on improving processes. As a proactive problemsolver you take ownership of your work and contribute to the teams success. You are curious eager to learn and not afraid to challenge the status quo. Collaboration and communication are key as youll work closely with an international finance team to gain valuable experience and make a meaningful impact!
About the role
As a Finance Intern at Picnic you will work alongside the operational team(s) within Finance Operations to support daytoday activities and ensure processes run smoothly. A key part of your role will involve maintaining and updating master data files ensuring their accuracy and preparing them for the next phase of development. Youll also assist with tasks such as data validation and reporting while gaining handson experience with financial systems. Throughout the internship youll have the opportunity to contribute ideas for improving processes and learn about finance operations in an international environment.
Tricks of the trade
You will be joining the daytoday business of the finance team. This means working on several projects and ad hoc activities but you will also be responsible for your own recurring tasks.
Some tasks that you could be working on during your internship:
- Maintaining and updating master data files
- Updating supplier and customer data in Workday
- Ensuring data accuracy and preparing files for the next phase of development
- Assisting with data validation and reconciliations to support cash management process
- Booking & correcting invoices and getting to know the accounting streams at Picnic
- Identifying and driving process improvements
Your superpowers
- You are currently enrolled in an applied science study (HBO) in the financial field
- Youre detailoriented and take responsibility for your work
- You communicate clearly and arent afraid to speak up when you spot something that could be better
- You are fluent in both verbal and written English and Dutch
- You are available for at least 46 months
