Roles and responsibilities
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Engineer (Industrial Investment) to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for coordinating with investors in charge of developing industries, checking the quality of the services provided, conducting studies and research regarding opportunities available, obtaining information from investors about the stages of project, carrying out the process of analyzing and studying the allocation of industrial sites and handling all the technical correspondence/ environmental matters / legal matters.
You will report directly to the director and will be working with a team in the investment development department.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinating with investors in charge of developing industries in the city and identifying the required services.
- Checking the quality of the services provided and providing the required services within a specific time frame.
- Conducting studies and research according to directives regarding opportunities available in industrial clusters that provide information and data to support decision-making.
- Obtaining information from investors about the stages of project implementation, the timetable, estimated dates for their completion, and the challenges they face, with presenting this information to the head of the department.
- Carrying out the process of analyzing and studying the allocation of industrial sites.
- Following up the provision of required services by investors and presenting their opinions regarding the services provided to them.
- Perform additional tasks related to the job when delegated or directed to the employee.
- All technical correspondence from the Industries to the Royal Commission will be directed to the Industrial Investment Coordinator who will, in turn, route same within the Royal Commission concerned department as required.
- All outgoing and incoming correspondence involving environmental matters/issues between the Royal Commission and the operating Industries will be in coordination with Industrial Investment Coordinator.
- Exhibits excellent communication skills and assists in writing and presenting reports and letters for technical topics.
- Reviews Legal and regulatory compliance changes, coordinates with the concerned department and develops reports detailing the expected impact of the same on existing industries.
- Provides the needed specialist insight towards the development of action plans designed to facilitate identified challenges within existing industries.
- Identify and Inform Management for potential stakeholders who can take action to rectify deviations, identifies their roles, and develops action plans for proposal accordingly.
- Supervises, coordinates, and directs the needed teams to implement the needed detailed work plans to accomplish functions operational objectives. Oversees the implementation of operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/ migration plans.
- When applicable, ensures subordinates and superiors are well informed at all times.
- Evaluates subordinate’s performance in a fair, transparent, and objective manner on a periodic basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
Desired candidate profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of industrial sector Support and Requirements.
- Experience in the implementation of industrial sector initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience in industrial sector support initiatives and monitoring of industrial requirements.
- Experience in the preparation of action plans designed to rectify observed challenges within industrial sector.
