Senior Civil Engineer

Roles and responsibilities

Performs various engineering and design assignments requiring the application of basic principles and fundamental theories studied in a Bachelors in engineering program, and available data in the engineering field.
Prepares or assists in preparing fundamental engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
Assists in the preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts.
Under the guidance of a more senior engineer, assists in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses.
Assists in the preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
Provides input to CAD Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
Project Planning and Design
Infrastructure Design: Develop designs for roads, bridges, tunnels, dams, buildings, water supply systems, and other infrastructure.
Feasibility Studies: Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of proposed projects.
Technical Drawings: Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications using CAD software.
Cost Estimation: Estimate materials, labor, and equipment costs for project proposals.
Construction Management
Supervision: Oversee construction activities to ensure they align with design specifications, budgets, and timelines.
Quality Control: Monitor project quality and ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
Problem-Solving: Address construction challenges and propose effective solutions.
Regulatory Compliance
Permits and Approvals: Secure necessary permits and ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Environmental Considerations: Incorporate sustainable practices and ensure minimal environmental impact.
Structural Analysis
Load Testing: Analyze structural integrity and capacity to ensure safety and reliability.
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor’s in civil engineering or any related discipline.
Fresh graduates/1 year experience only.
Requires basic engineering knowledge in Civil or related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly motivated and ambitious.
Saudi Nationals only.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, or similar tools).
Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and standards.
Understanding of geotechnical, structural, and environmental engineering principles.

Maintenance and Upgrades
Inspection and Repairs: Conduct inspections of completed structures and recommend maintenance or upgrades when needed.
