Payment Operations Team Lead - GBP

Were looking for a Payment Operations Team Lead to join our team in our Tallinn office for our GBP team. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wises mission grow as a leader of our Operations teams and help save millions more people money. 

Wise has already pioneered new ways for people to transfer money across borders and currencies. Our customers can also manage their hardearned money with the worlds first platform to offer true multicurrency banking. Your mission is to develop a strong Operations team and support specialists on their personal growth paths.

Heres how youll be contributing to the team:

• Help the team develop and measure KPIs for success.
• Set OKRs based on the highest impact areas identified and drive your team towards delivering on goals. 
• Manage your teams resources and their relevant skills ensuring at all times a highquality highspeed workflow with optimal coverage.
• Increase the efficiency of the operations team while balancing the health and productivity of your specialists.
• Drive operational excellence while building sufficient controls and assessing and mitigating operational risks.
• Ensure the teams readiness to handle unexpected situations.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to improve the state of Payment Operations. 

Qualifications :

• Youre placed in Tallinn and have a right to work here. We wont be able to support relocation nor residency permits for this role.
• Youve experience in a leadership position for at least 1 year with a track record of demonstrating strong leadership skills and building highfunctioning teams.
• You have relevant experience leading an operational and/or project team.
• Youre a selfstarter who is independent and able to navigate and thrive in a fastpaced autonomous environment. You drive to make things happen instead of wondering why things happened.
• You understand how to set clear OKRs and set KPIs for your team. You have a proven track record of moving metrics and driving your team to reach set goals.
• You have a strong analytical mindset and youre able to identify opportunities that have the most valueadd to customers and your team. You build a narrative from data to influence decisions. 
• Youre a great communicator straight up and honest. You can adapt your communication style to different audiences. Youre able to persuade others and you arent afraid to challenge something when you need to.
• Youre comfortable working within teams that face complex issues and take charge in difficult situations.
• You enjoy creating an inspiring team environment where ideas are shared and openness is valued. Youre comfortable and composed when either giving or receiving feedback.
• You are passionate about nurturing talent and developing your teams potential. 
• You have a passion for technology customer experience and you want your work to have a positive impact on people.
• Youre a great relationship builder experienced at working closely with internal and external partners as well as product and engineering development teams. You are able to influence decisions to reach shared objectives. 
• Your curiosity has no limit and this is your guiding light. You have the selfawareness to recognise areas you dont know and the humility to learn

Some extra skills that would be awesome:

• You have worked in a cross border team know their challenges and how to overcome these
• You have a background in payments and have experience working with product and engineering teams
• You know how to use different processes improvements methodologies 
• PMP Project Management Certification 
• Lean Six Sigma
