Labor &Employment Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with an established firm with offices in five major commercial centers across the state of California. For over 70 years they have kept pace with Californias growth and with more than 100 attorneys they have the resources and experience to offer the highest quality representation in a wide variety of legal matters.We are seeking a motivated and experienced Labor &Employment Attorneyto join our growing team.Attorneys with experience in either singleplaintiff or classaction cases are encouraged to apply.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Willrepresent employers in litigation including wage and hour class actions PAGA actions discrimination claims and wrongful discharge cases.
- Advise clients on employment law matters including hiring compensation systems employee benefits and termination.
- Draft and review employment contracts handbooks and personnel policies.
- Counsel clients on compliance with wage and hour regulations OSHA requirements and employee leave policies.
- Defend employers in audits and investigations by state and federal agencies.
- Assist with unionrelated matters including organizing campaigns contract negotiations and grievance resolutions.
- Provide strategic advice on labor issues related to layoffs mergers acquisitions and business closures.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law and in good standing with the state bar.
- 35 years of labor and employment law experience in California.
- Strong litigation background with experience handling wage and hour disputes discrimination cases and class actions.
- Excellent research writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base Salary Range: $160000 $215000
- Plus performancebased incentives include percentages for origination collections profit sharing and realization rates. We can delve into more details to find mutually beneficial terms.
