Job Description

Job Title: SCADA Programmer Analyst
Location: Midland Texas (OnSite)
Job Type: Long Term Contract

Description:
  • The Upstream Unconventional Field SCADA teams deliver industryleading business capabilities and computational sciences to our field production assets through proprietary commercialgrade software.
  • We are looking for passionate selfstarting team members who will challenge the status quo and always be willing to learn and contribute in new ways.
  • This position requires active collaboration with field engineers headquarters engineers developers and other stake holders to deliver software and hardware solutions in the Permian Unconventional asset.
  • In this role you will participate in all aspects of SCADA Engineering including work planning requirements gathering development testing deployment and ongoing support.

Primary Job Functions:
  • Collaborate with engineers data managers and other software developers to define
  • build and deliver solutions to our most challenging upstream unconventional business problems
  • Architect implement deploy and support SCADA systems like WonderWare and Ignition
  • Continue to learn and share software industry best practices with team members
  • Work with production and facilities teams to bring in well site data salt water disposals
  • compressor site data and any field automation into our SCADA systems for alarm historizing/trending and display
  • Responsible for the day to day support maintenance and development of SCADA systems utilizing corporatedriven standard solutions.
  • Responsibilities will also include support of the plants and facilities and the process controls within these sites.
  • Interface with various customer and support elements including automation measurement engineering production operations and plant support and other IT support staff.

Job Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing deploying and supporting SCADA systems an automation control systems
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following SCADA platforms; WonderWare Ignition AutoSol (ACM) XSPOC
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following Firewall platforms; Cisco ASA Cisco FTD Palo Alto Eagle One
  • Must have excellent interpersonal/customer service skills and the ability to communicate well with others (customers and team members)
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Must work well with field I&E staff and also with Houston development support
  • Must be willing and able to participate in a rotational 7 day on call schedule with other team members
  • Ability to travel to remote sites for training projects and other support
  • IT knowledge of Microsofts server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL 2012
  • Strong leadership project management customerservice orientation and good interpersonal skills

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of building deploying and supporting Ignition screens using Python
  • Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
  • Prior work experience with large scale data management systems
  • Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience participating in the user centered design process
  • Working knowledge of AutoSol (ACM) ACP ThinManager Win911 and Ignition
  • Experience working with RTUs (ROC TotalFlow) PLCs and related HMI hardware and their related software (AllenBradley Modicon GE)
  • 3 years of experience working with WonderWares software suite (IAS InTouch InSQL)
  • Understanding of field radio and network communications is beneficial
  • IT knowledge of Microsofts server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL is beneficial
  • Heavy emphasis on candidates who have great soft skills customer service focus and are able to maintain a high level of client satisfaction through effective communication and prompt resolution.
  • Must demonstrate the ability wear many hats and possess the mentality to jump in and help when needed.
  • Knowledge of field data capture and production accounting systems
  • MQTT knowledge and experience
