Job Description
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Veterinary Technician duties: Draw blood place catheters animal restraint triage of incoming patients collection and analysis of lab samples diagnostic imaging management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability administration of medications effective communication of treatment plans with clients surgical preparation and assistance and anesthetic management.
Receptionist duties: Maintain the animal hospital reception area greet and warmly welcome clients and patients answer questions and triage client concerns answer calls and emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow check in and check out clients and process payments offer emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need for our clients and be comfortable with various medical outcomes.

Qualifications :
Were looking for a team member who has:
- A minimum of 1year veterinary technician experience at an veterinary hospital. CVT/RVT/LVT is a bonus.
- A compassionate calm demeanor and strong leadership/organizational/communication skills.
- Computer skills (we use Avimark software).
- The ability to arrive on time and be ready to work.
- Strong ability to multitask.
- A high work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely.
- The ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately.
- Knowledge of preventative care assisting in surgical procedures and hospital flow.
- The ability to restrain dogs and cats in a lowstress and safe manner.
- Proficiency in sample collection of blood urine fecal and skin.
- Proficiency in processing laboratory samples and tests reading fecal tests etc.
- Proficiency in positioning and capturing radiographs.
- Proficiency in anesthesia and surgical monitoring and placement of catheters.
- The desire to continue to advance ones knowledge and skill set.
- The ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency.
