Job Description
As a Class 1 Relief / Tramper driver you will be responsible for executing critical logistics operations for DPD. This role demands a high level of commitment and professionalism.
Key responsibilities include:
- Execute bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide ensuring timely and accurate transportation of goods.
- Operate modern fleet vehicles on agreed shift patterns adhering strictly to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Deliver palette loads to HGVfriendly locations maintaining the highest standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
- Commit to a minimum of four nights per week away from base demonstrating dedication to the role and flexibility in work arrangements.
- Utilize secure DPD locations for overnight stays in the vehicle ensuring the safety of both the driver and the cargo.
- Cover a designated region surrounding the base depot developing comprehensive knowledge of the area to optimize route planning and delivery efficiency.
This position requires a strong sense of responsibility excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications :
Essential Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence is imperative for this role.
- A minimum of 12 months verifiable Class 1 driving experience is mandatory.
- Current and valid UK Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) Card is a nonnegotiable requirement.
- Possession of a valid UK Digital Tachograph Card is essential for legal compliance.
