Position Purpose:
Supervises the daytoday operations of the water treatment plant.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- The Superintendent reports to the General Manager as do the Foreman Billing Clerk and Administrative Assistant. Reporting to this position are the Head Operator and Operator.
- To perform effectively in this position an individual must be licensed by the state of New Jersey with Operator T4 W4 and N1.
- The Superintendent supervises the daily activities of the Head Operator and the Operator at the water treatment plant site ensuring that preventative maintenance on equipment is done properly and in a timely manner.
- The incumbent ensures an adequate supply of chemicals and parts for the treatment plant ordering supplies as necessary.
- The Superintendent handles customer complaints and distribution inquiries.
- The Superintendent completes the state required reports including TReports NJPDES Diversion and TCPA reports.
- The incumbent ensures that both chemical and bacteriological sampling is completed as required by state and federal governments.

Work Environment:
- This position requires working outdoors.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Background:
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment and daytoday operations.
Required Certification/Licenses/Training:
- NC WW 2 is required.
- NC WW 3 is preferred.
- Drivers license is required.
