Job Description: Political Science Teacher (IB DP & ISC Grades 11 & 12)

Role Overview
Good Shepherd International School a premier educational institution in Ooty Tamil Nadu is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Political Science teacher. The candidate should have expertise in teaching both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP) and ISC curriculum for Grades 11 and 12.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Political Science to students in Grades 11 and 12 under both IB DP and ISC curricula.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans aligned with IB and ISC standards.
- Prepare students for IB DP assessments Extended Essay supervision and ISC board examinations.
- Employ innovative teaching methodologies to engage and inspire students.
- Guide students in understanding complex political theories systems and global political issues.
- Foster critical thinking research skills and analytical writing in students.
- Participate in faculty meetings curriculum planning sessions and professional development programs.
- Provide academic guidance and support to students including remedial sessions when required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of students progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Educational Qualifications:
- Master s Degree (M.A.) in Political Science.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with a specialisation in Political Science.
- Experience:
- Proven teaching experience in Political Science for IB DP and ISC Grades 11 and 12 is mandatory.
- Minimum 3 5 years of teaching experience preferred.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of IB DP and ISC curriculum frameworks and assessment standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and engage students with diverse learning styles.
- Proficient in technologyenabled teaching tools and online learning platforms.
- Age Limit:
- Candidates must be under 50 years of age as of the application date.
