As a Database Administrator (2nd Line Support Engineer) you will ensure the Operational IT infrastructure is maintained at the highest standards. You will work with your IT colleagues and manufacturers on the development and revision of the IT system support strategies in order to ensure our SLA and system availability targets are met and our Service Performance is brought to a higher level.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution;
- Maintain optimal level of customer satisfaction;
- Identify all customer issues and recommend appropriate resolution;
- Providing 2ndlevel support by: researching diagnosing troubleshooting identifying solutions carrying out configurations performing upgrades carrying out migrations;
- Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams;
- Write and maintain documentation.
Qualifications :
- Solid and extensive knowledge of IT data center infrastructure in general and navigate medium to large IT environments;
- Experience with being responsible for the implementation of new databases and the operational management of existing databases;
- Customer focused regarding the operations of the databases with focus on reliability and performance;
- Able do handle the following tasks:
- Preparation of operational procedures for backup and recovery tuning integrity reliability and administration of database users;
- Provide support to the application people and assets in setting up the internal structure of the database;
- Establish and follow up robust database standards.
- Know how to work on Databases in the Azure InfrastructureasaService platform;
- Fluent in (technical) English (spoken & written)
