Job Description
Job Title: Site Reliability Specialist
Location: Newark NJ Hybrid
Duration: 6 months with possible extensions
Technical Skills:
- Deployment of physical and virtual Linux systems servers Dell iDrac
- VMware vSphere Administration deployment patching configuration
- Installation configuration and management of ESXi hosts
- Performing vSphere upgrades and patch management
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies in a virtualized environment
- Server architectures and configurations
- Power distribution systems (PDUs UPSes etc.)
- Infrastructure monitoring tools (Nagios SNMP Splunk ITSI PRTG)
- Scripting Language familiarity (Bash Python)
- Hardware deployment physical systems racking cabling etc
- Datacenter Operations
- Server Room and Rack Cooling
- Coordinate with Facilities to address issues
- Basic understanding of network topologies including VLANs
- Familiarity with switch configuration and connectivity testing
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and cross train peers
- Ability to Liaison between Departments to coordinate Patching Installs and Facility repairs
