We are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to ensure that our company’s needs for external goods and services are fulfilled at the lowest cost of ownership while meeting all quality and service requirements. This role will provide an efficient, effective, and professionally managed procurement service that balances financial control with efficient transaction execution, delivering a high level of service at a reasonable cost.
Responsibilities:
Oversee procurement activities to meet the company’s needs for goods and services.
Manage a team of procurement professionals, ensuring effective execution of procurement strategies.
Maintain spend responsibility exceeding SR 500 million per year.
Drive initiatives for price reduction, supplier evaluation, and development.
Work within a purchasing system (SAP/BaaN/Oracle/JD Edwards, etc.) to manage procurement processes.
Develop sourcing strategies for industrial commodities on a global basis, particularly in FMCG, industrial manufacturing, or EPC contracting industries.
Procurement Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
Lead the creation and execution of long-term procurement plans, ensuring cost-effective and sustainable sourcing.
Continuously assess and improve procurement practices, strategies, and processes to meet the evolving needs of the business.
Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring effective cost management and resource allocation.
Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline, preferably in purchasing, supply, or materials management, or equivalent experience.
Candidates without the following will not be considered.
At least 7 years of managerial experience in a procurement group.
Experience managing diverse needs and sources of supply, with responsibility for a team of at least four subordinates.
Proven track record in price reduction and supplier development.
Background in similar industries with a broad knowledge of industrial commodities sourcing is preferred.
Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
Expertise in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
High proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex procurement strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in procurement processes, contracts, and financial reports.
Proactive and results-driven, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.
Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing market conditions and organizational needs.
