Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Join Almarai as a Senior Divisional HS&S Manager and play a pivotal role in safeguarding human life while optimizing business performance! We are seeking a dynamic leader to provide high-level HS&S technical advice and guidance to managers, employees, and stakeholders, reinforcing a positive HS&S culture across all our manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate, develop, and implement Almarai’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) aligned with ISO 45001:2018 best practices.
Maintain and update business risk registers to identify and mitigate potential threats.
Evaluate and report on Health, Safety, and Security performance, providing actionable insights for improvement.
Deliver training programs to enhance competencies across all business units.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement in HS&S practices.
Health, Safety, and Security Strategy Development:

Develop and implement the divisional HSS (Health, Safety, and Security) strategy aligned with the organization’s overall goals and regulatory requirements.
Lead the creation of a comprehensive HSS management plan, setting clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and timelines to ensure the health, safety, and security of employees and assets.
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate HSS objectives into divisional and organizational business plans and projects.
Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure compliance with local, national, and international health, safety, and security regulations, such as OSHA, ISO 45001, and other industry-specific standards.
Monitor and interpret HSS regulations and policies to ensure that the division remains in compliance and proactively manages risks.
Develop and manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies for health, safety, and security hazards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety protocols, identify non-compliance, and take corrective actions.


Desired candidate profile

University degree in HS&S or Level 6 qualification in Health, Safety Practice.
15+ years of safety management experience in FMCG environments.
Proven leadership in managing HS&S teams and influencing safety standards.
Graduate Member of IOSH (working towards CMIOSH or IIRSM).
Technical Skills:

In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and security regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, NEBOSH).
Strong experience with risk assessment techniques, accident investigation, and root cause analysis.
Proficiency in safety management software, reporting tools, and data analytics to track performance and identify safety trends.
Strong knowledge of emergency response planning, security protocols, and crisis management.
Soft Skills:

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop a team of HSS professionals.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, regulatory authorities, and employees at all levels.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective strategies for mitigation.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders across different functions.
