Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


To assist in eliminating /reducing the risk of loss resulting from fire or smoke damage to Poultry resources including but not restricted to Personnel, Buildings, Plant & Equipment, Products and Raw Materials and information retrieval systems both paper & electronics. Carry out regular inspections of all workplaces to identify unsafe plant, unsafe working conditions and unsafe practices.
Fire Safety Inspections:

Conduct regular fire safety inspections of commercial, residential, and industrial properties to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and codes.
Examine buildings for fire hazards, fire prevention equipment (fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, alarms), and proper evacuation routes.
Inspect heating, electrical, and ventilation systems to identify any potential fire risks.
Code Enforcement and Compliance:

Ensure that properties and establishments comply with local, state, and federal fire safety laws and building codes.
Issue citations and penalties for violations, and recommend corrective actions when needed.
Work closely with local fire departments, building authorities, and safety officers to enforce fire codes and regulations.
Fire Safety Education and Training:

Provide fire safety training and education to businesses, schools, and community groups on how to prevent fires and respond in case of an emergency.
Develop and deliver presentations on fire safety topics such as fire prevention, evacuation plans, and use of fire safety equipment.
Offer guidance on creating and maintaining emergency evacuation plans and conducting fire drills.
Fire Hazard Identification:

Identify potential fire hazards within structures, such as improper storage of flammable materials, blocked fire exits, faulty wiring, or lack of proper fire protection equipment.
Evaluate building layouts to ensure that fire safety measures, such as fire exits and fire escapes, are clearly marked and easily accessible.
Work with building owners and managers to mitigate identified risks and ensure that required fire safety measures are implemented.
Fire Safety Plans and Documentation:

Review and assess fire safety plans, including fire evacuation routes, emergency exits, fire alarm systems, and the installation of fire extinguishers.
Maintain detailed records of inspections, findings, corrective actions, and any violations or penalties issued.
Provide written reports to property owners, managers, and local authorities outlining inspection results and required actions.
Collaboration with Fire Departments:

Coordinate with local fire departments to support fire prevention activities and response strategies.
Assist in investigations of fire incidents, determining the cause of fires, and recommending measures to prevent future occurrences.
Participate in post-fire inspections to assess damage, identify the origin of the fire, and provide recommendations for improving fire safety.


Desired candidate profile

- Should be holding a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant qualification from a recognized certification body.

- 2 years experience in handling fire detection and suppression equipment.

- Must have a working knowledge of pertinent Saudi law and the law enforcement community.

-A reasonable level of physical fitness.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of fire safety codes, regulations, and best practices (e.g., NFPA standards, International Fire Code).
Familiarity with fire safety systems and equipment such as fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, and smoke detectors.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fire safety plans, and building layouts.
Proficiency in using fire inspection tools and technologies to assess fire risks and identify hazards.
Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify potential fire hazards or code violations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with property owners, business managers, and local authorities.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions during emergencies.
Good report writing skills to document findings and compliance issues in inspection reports.
