Dungarvin is looking for dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care support to people with developmental disabilities in our Day Program. Candidates will have a desire to create a lasting positive impact on peoples lives and enjoy coaching mentoring and encouraging others to reach their goals.
What You Get To Do:
- Assist the persons served to direct the course of their own lives develop and maintain relationships and participate in their communities
- Assist individuals with planning and achieving goals
- Assist with direct care and support with daily activities such as mealtime and personal care
- Drive the company van or small bus to activities in the community
- Follow protocols and procedures to maintain a healthy and safe environment
- Assist persons served to direct the course of their own lives develop and maintain relationships and participate in their communities.
- Assist individuals with planning and achieving goals.
- Assist with direct care and support with daily activities such as mealtime and personal cares.
- Plan various activities outings and workshops to improve life skills and help build independence.
Qualifications :
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- Previous experience working with persons with disabilities
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to drive the company van
- 18 years or older
- Able to lift/transfer 50 pounds
- Personcentered patient and kind
