Senior Light Manager

Our company is seeking an experienced and creative individual to join our team as a Senior Light Manager. This position is crucial in ensuring our events and productions are illuminated with precision and artistic flair. Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all activities of the lighting department in a 24/7 live studio setting.
• Coordinate closely with studio directors producers and technical teams to ensure lighting aligns with production goals.
• Develop and enforce departmental policies and procedures to maintain high standards and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with other production departments to integrate lighting strategies seamlessly into overall production plans.
• Supervise senior lighting technicians and team members providing guidance and support.
• Offer leadership training and regular performance evaluations while promoting a positive team culture.
• Monitor and manage equipment inventory ensuring adequate stock levels for seamless operations under tight deadlines.
• Drive innovation and foster collaboration with other teams to achieve highquality results.
• Ensure all lighting activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain and update departmental records including inventory maintenance schedules and operational reports.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex lighting and equipment issues promptly.
• Report on departmental performance and key issues to the director.
• Stay updated on industry advancements to continuously enhance operations and equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Native or fluent English (C1 level) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven leadership experience in a live studio or similar environment specializing in lighting operations.
• Indepth knowledge of studio lighting equipment control systems and advanced lighting techniques.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and best practices in live studio operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams mentor staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Strong organizational and problemsolving skills especially under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to report to senior management collaborate across teams and enhance departmental efficiency.
• Innovative mindset with a proactive approach to teamwork and problemsolving.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends in a 24/7 studio environment.
• Technical certification or degree in lighting design electrical engineering or a related field is preferred.
