Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced PMC Security Lead (Construction) to oversee and manage all security operations for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra Iraq. The Security Lead will ensure the safety and security of personnel assets and facilities by implementing and monitoring effective security measures. This role requires strong leadership skills a deep understanding of security protocols and extensive experience in managing security for largescale construction projects in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and oversee the security management plan for the project ensuring alignment with project requirements and local regulations.
- Manage all security operations at construction sites project offices and associated facilities.
- Coordinate with local authorities security contractors and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration on security matters.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise and monitor security personnel to ensure compliance with established protocols and procedures.
- Respond to and manage security incidents including investigations and reporting to senior management.
- Provide regular security briefings and training for project staff and contractors to ensure awareness and compliance with security measures.
- Monitor and manage access control systems to ensure the safety of project sites and facilities.
- Prepare and maintain security documentation including incident reports risk assessments and security plans.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and projectspecific safety requirements in all security operations.
Qualifications :
- Education: Bachelors degree in Security Management Criminology or a related field. Professional security certifications are a plus.
- Experience:
- 1015 years of experience in security management with a focus on Oil & Gas or construction projects.
- Proven experience working in challenging environments particularly in Iraq or similar regions.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of security protocols risk assessment methodologies and emergency response planning.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Strong leadership and communication skills for team management and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a highpressure and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in security systems access control tools and reporting platforms.
- Fluency in Arabic and English is highly desirable.
