Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced PMC Civil Supervisor to oversee civil construction activities for a highprofile Oil & Gas pipeline construction project in Basra Iraq. The Civil Supervisor will be responsible for managing and monitoring civil works including earthworks foundations structural works and other related activities ensuring compliance with project specifications schedules and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise leadership and experience in largescale construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all civil construction activities ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress identify issues and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Oversee excavation foundation work concrete pouring and structural construction activities.
- Collaborate with contractors subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams to resolve constructionrelated challenges.
- Ensure compliance with approved designs drawings and project specifications for all civil works.
- Monitor material usage and ensure proper handling and storage of construction materials.
- Review and approve method statements work plans and other technical documentation related to civil construction.
- Maintain detailed records of construction activities including progress updates delays and corrective actions.
- Ensure adherence to HSE policies and foster a culture of safety onsite.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to project management highlighting milestones risks and mitigation measures.
Qualifications :
- Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- 812 years of experience in civil construction supervision with a focus on Oil & Gas or pipeline projects.
- Proven experience in a PMC environment and working in Iraq or similar regions is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of civil construction processes materials and international standards.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for team and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic project environment.
